- Allow staff to cast any spells
- Allow spell-catalyst-weapon to cast off-hand spells on swing or bow shot
- Allow zerk to shout randomly on swing
- Works for NPC as well
Installation & Usage
- Install the LATEST requirements mods (MCM Helper, DynamicAnimationCasting-NG) The requirement mods contains most of the black magic to make this mod happen.
- Use AddItemMenu to get the staffs and axes
- Open MCM to config the hotkeys for cycling/select spells from favorite menu (Default to gamepad Up Down, Keyboard 1-9)
- Equip your new toy (optionally, equip a spell at off hand)
- Attack
- Disenchant the weapons from this mod
- Use the enchantment on your favorite weapon :)
- Too powerful or too weak? You can change the balance your self in SKSE/plugins/_DynamicAnimationCasting/EldenCatalyst.toml
Compatibility, Performance, Upgrade
- Works for both Player and NPC, NPC will cast the off hand spell or, one of their known spell (instead of player's favourite).
- Script free (only MCM uses a script) and no lags
- Compatible with virtually ANY mods. E.g. new spells, new staff/casting/weapon animations, MCO or SkySA, etc...
- Safe to install or upgrade or uninstall anytime (just use ReSaver to clear your save data after uninstall)
For Modder
- Make spell sword work for my weapon in mod X?
- -> Add Spell/Voice Catalyst enchantment to the weapon in Game
- -> Use KID to add the "SpellCatalyst" or "VoiceCatalyst" keyword to your weapons, you can keep your unique enchant this way.
- Make my mod's staff cast any spell?
- -> Use KID to add the "StaffSpellCatalyst" keyword to your staff, you may change the staff's spell to an do-thing-proxy. Otherwise it will cast BOTH.
- Hot Key is not working! -> Update your MCM Helper
- Does it work for SE/AE/VR? -> Yes
- Does it work for GOG? -> I don't own GOG version, cannot test
- Balance not good? -> Check the SKSE/plugins/_DynamicAnimationCasting/EldenCatalyst.toml to change Magika cost, Dual cast, Cooldown, and other balance factors.
- I want feature X! -> Add a BUG to this mod, I maybe able to find time for it.
TODO
- Use Player Attribute / Enchantment to grow the power of the enchantment
- Change the damage of the spell casted from weapon / staffs
- Lore friendly quest to obtain these weapon / spells
- If you have an idea, try post it in the bug section, I will be happy to update this mod
