Changelogs
Version 2.0
Remade the mod to edit the original script instead of extending it, so that the .esp is no longer required. Wrong from the point of OOP but much better for compatibility.
Description
Makes spikes such as those in the pit at Halted Stream Camp safer to approach from the side. With this mod it's very unlikely to get damage while trying to pick those coin purses or just accidentally touching the spikes. As a side effect, walking on spikes may be more safe as well, but falling or jumping on them still does damage.
What i did:
Raised thresholds for the vertical velocity required to take damage.
Moving up now never does damage.
Added a special condition to check if the victim is in jumping state. It they are, the threshold is not only not higher, but lower than in vanilla: it's enough to not move up to take damage in this case.
Compatibility
Compatible with everything except mods changing the same vanilla script.
