This mod is a part of Requiem of the Green 💀.
This mod strives to make a significant improvement of Auri's combat style. From now on Auri can also use melee weapons, scrolls, novice-tier spells and staves, but bows and crossbows are still her main weapon. Her combat style is also completely remade to fit her character, at least in the author's vision.
Defense 🛡
Her tactics are now much more defensive than before. If she can keep the distance and attack, she will. If she can't, she will attempt to dodge enemy attacks as much as possible.
Melee 🗡
Auri's melee combat strategy is disconcertingly cunning. In melee range, she will mostly attack vulnerable targets who are unable to or just do not block her melee attacks, are staggered or are in a recoiled state. Combined with her defensive tactics, this turns her into a tiny tornado.
Magic 🔮
Although Auri doesn't know a single spell, she can use the scrolls which might end up in her inventory. If you teach her a novice-tier spell (via Nether's Follower Framework for example, or any other way), she might cast it as well.
Ranged 🏹
As since Auri's primary skill is marksmanship, she will always use ranged weapons until the last arrow or bolt. This was not true for the previous version of this mod, but it is now. You will see her stepping back and taking covers pretty often while letting others divert attention from her.
Staff 🪄
When this mod was released for the first time, the original mod's creator didn't agree with this decision very much. After some rumination on this decision of mine, I came to conclusion to still keep it, but for extreme cases only, meaning the moments when Auri is out of ammunition but the life is still being threatened.
Unarmed 🥊
No ammunition, no melee weapon, no magic, no scrolls, no staff? How could this ever happen? Anyway, she can still use her fists as she does in the original mod.
