I don't like UI clutter. When you look at something you can interact with, it will show a bunch of information and the activate button. Most of that is already intuitive or unimportant.

For example

  • a ring will be worth a penny and weight little
  • a door can only be opened
  • a chair is used to sit on
  • the flowers you pick up

These are things I don't want to have a prompt for. If I'm curious about an item I'll inspect it on the inventory.

The other issue is that you get FREE information like an NPC name or whether a locked chest is empty or not prior to interacting with such entity.


Functionality

This is just configuration files for several mods that alter the activation text. Technically speaking you don't require any of them, but the functionality is provided by these. You can pick and choose.


Since there are a lots of tweaks I'll describe the changes at a high level

  • Removed every activator button and button name (example, steal or take). Instead, the object name is only displayed. 
  • Locked chests and doors will be displayed on Yellow and no longer the empty diamond tag will be shown. Owned items will be indistinguishable from free to take items (use your common sense)
  • NPC names are no longer shown. You can't magically know how they are called now.
  • Flora, furniture and projectiles are also hidden.
  • Weight, value, value/weight ratio and separator are also hidden
  • Text will be dynamically displayed on top of the item instead of statically in the middle of the screen.
  • If you happen to have moreHUD installed and removing it would be problematic (for example you are using a collection) there is also a preset to basically hide everything possible while leaving only enemy attribute bars on the top screen.

Installation

Place in Data folder/ use mod manager. The moreHUD configuration will have to be manually loaded from moreHUD MCM entry.
