Yggdrasil Combat Music Compatibility Patch

Ever want the sounds and thrumming, heart-pounding experimental Viking folk of the Yggdrasil Music and SoundFX Overhaul, but also enjoy the serene, soothing exploratory meditations of Jeremy Soule? This patch allows you to keep the sounds and combat tracks of Yggdrasil while maintaining compatibility with any music mod.

Yet Another Music Merge--my overall favorite collection of mod-added music on the Nexus--absolute nails adding to Skyrim's music in a way that fits and yet also significantly enhances the overall feeling of the game, but I also love Yggdrasil Music and Sound FX. A lot.

Well, you can have the best of both worlds by:
1) Downloading Yggdrasil (REQUIRED) and place its ESP above every other music mod in your load order.
2) Download and place this patch beneath all other music mods in your load order.
3) Using the mod organizer of your choice, ensure that Yggdrasil's sounds and FX aren't being overwritten by another mod that does something similar. If using Mod Organizer 2, this means having it beneath any conflicting mods in the left pane. This is only important if you want to ensure Yggdrasil's sounds/FX 'win'.

This will allow only the combat music to play while preserving the rest of YAMM's work, or the changes of whatever other music mod you prefer.

I argue this is the best combat music you can have while still keeping to the tone of Skyrim, this sort of droning, intimidating, atmospheric and drum-heavy Viking beat. You'll also get Yggdrasil UI sounds, which are similarly excellent.

I think this works for any character, but perhaps particularly if you're playing a Nord or warrior.
