--- ATTENTION ---

The Subnautica Living Large update - also referred to as the Subnautica 2.0 update or Modpocalypse update - has been released.

This update adds many cool new things to the game, but it also breaks the vast majority of mods, including QMM itself.

At the moment, my main focus is updating my most popular mod - SnapBuilder - for the update. I expect to have it released within the next 48 hours if not sooner.

After that, I will be going through each of my mods and assessing how viable they are in Subnautica 2.0, and how much time it will take to release an updated version.

In the meantime, if you play on Steam, you can continue playing Subnautica with all of your QMM mods by switching to the legacy branch - i.e. downgrading your Subnautica to the last version which QMM still worked for. You can find the option to switch to the legacy branch under the Betas section of the game Properties in your Steam Library.

Won't affect anything if you don't have any save games yet - the standard main menu will be displayed as normal.

Likewise, backing out to the main menu is still be possible as normal, this simply checks if you have any saves and loads the most recent one as soon as the game boots to save you the hassle of clicking through the menu.

Easy install

Features

  • Override key: Hold Escape (can be rebound in the options menu) on startup to skip AutoLoad and go to the main menu as normal.
  • Option to load the most recently loaded game save instead of the most recently saved (default). Configurable via the options menu. Has no effect until the first time you load a save.
  • Option to load a specific save slot, regardless of most recent save/load. This can be configured in config.json by adding the "SpecificSaveSlot" property, setting it to the name of the save slot you wish to load (eg. "slot0002").
  • Automatically pause the game on load. By default this feature is off, and is configurable in the options menu or config.json.
  • When AutoLoad is in Most Recently Loaded game mode, if you start a new game and exit to desktop without saving, the next time you launch Subnautica, AutoLoad will automatically start a new game for you. This feature can be disabled in the options menu or config.json.

Thanks so much to Sketchy of Nitrox support for the shout out! Check out AutoLoad in action below!
