Changelogs
Version 4.04.1
Reduced the default cost per repair point down to just 0.25 so that having a craftsman repair 90% durability costs the same amount or less than the 24 or so gold it takes to craft a master repair kit that heals 90% durability. This means that if you're near an armorer/weaponsmith it's always cheaper to pay them to repair your gear than it is to go around crafting a repair kit in order to do it yourself.
Version 1.2
Fixed an issue where the default value for repairing master-quality items was set to 2 if you didn't install the modmenu.
Reduced the default repair values from 1 crown to 0.65 crowns to make sure that repair costs stay below the cost of buying/crafting repair kits even with my Cheaper Lore Friendlier Shop Prices mod.
Version 1.1
Added a Mod Menu. Lets you enable/disable the mod. Configure how much it costs to repair 1 durability damage % point. Configure the cost separately by item quality (common/master/magical/relic/witcher).
By default makes the cost of repairing your items much cheaper than vanilla by setting it to 0.25 gold per durability damage % (mod menu configurable). The default 0.25 value is about the same cost per durability point as you get just from crafting a master repair kit (not even including the cost of ingredients). This means that if you're near a craftsman it's always going to be cheaper to let them repair your gear than to have them craft a repair kit for you to use.
Mod menu also lets you configure that value (from 0 -free- to 10 crowns per durability damage %) and set it separately by item quality type (common/master/magical/relic/witcher gear).
Installation: Download the mod and extract the contents. Place \mods and \bin inside your \The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY\ game install folder *OR* just let TW3 Mod Manager handle it automatically for you. (VORTEX NOT RECOMMENDED FOR TW3 MODS).
If you're not using TW3 Mod Manager and are on the next gen version of the game (v4.0+) then to enable the mod menu you additionally need to edit the dx11filelist.txt and dx12filelist.txt files in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc by adding a line with your mod menu's xxx.xml; filename to those lists that should be in the same folder if you placed \bin correctly. TW3 Mod Manager would do this automatically for you. Pick the default mod menu settings before loading a save.
Finally run Script Merger to merge conflicting .ws files if you have other mods. Uninstallation: Unmerge the files if you merged them before. Delete the \Mods\modcheaperrepair\ folder and the \bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\cheaperrepair.xml mod menu file.
