How to Install:
1] Download latest ReShade from https://reshade.me/
2] Install point it to your installation in your Steam/GOG folder
3] Click ok to what FX you need to download (The basics are all you need)
4] Download files from files tab
5] Drag contents of download to ReShade location and overwrite when asked (Where witcher3.exe located)
6] Press Home Key in game follow on screen tutorial
7] Select Vel ReShade.ini and click Performance Mode box lower right
Monitor Calibration: Follow this link and follow the instructions (You should have done this along time ago)
FX Enabled and Why:
Deband - To remove horrible lines in the sky durring night/Sunny days
SMAA - To help with LOD AA
FXAA - To help with harsh edges in overall image
Clarity - Bring pop to sunlit areas and clear some overall fog in distance
Luma Sharpen - Bring some detail back into faces/armor
Lift Gamma Gain - Brighten overly darkend shadows
Levels - Increases white point a bit in overall image helps with giving clouds n sunsets pop
Magic Bloom - Add some bloom give that fantasy look but not overly
Technicolor - Tones down overall color to give the semi realistic colors
Vibrance - Adds more color to overall image to not be fully washed out by Technicolor
Tonemap - Using the exposure mostly to brighten overall image
Film Grain - Name says it all gives the game that cinema look
Border - Infamous black bars gives that cinema look
Chromatic Aberration - Nice little flare to overall image aka "rainbow fx"
Dont Like Rainbow FX? - Uncheck Chromatic Aberration in ReShade menu
Dont Like Black Bars? - Uncheck Border in ReShade menu
Performance: At 1440P with a RTX 2080 + i7 7700K I get a constant 60 FPS with this preset, and without I'm at 80-100 FPS range. You can turn off Deband, Clarity, MagicBloom, and SMAA/FXAA for some performance. It's up to you what you want off all or some play with it and find your balance.
