If you don't know what is Gwent Improvements - Ultima , from SorceressJ, go check it out now : it's in my opinion the best gwent mod released.
It tweak the gwent AI, so each match offer a real challenge, even on easy.
Unfortunatly, it wasn't update for Next Gen, yet. This patch is here for that.
It also fix the bug that the original mod had with the quest Till Death Do You Part.

Installation
- Download the original mod -> extract the archive -> open the folder "Version 2 (without Faster Gwent)". -> Drag and drop the two folders inside in your -- The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY\mods -- folder.
- Download this patch -> extract the archive -> copy the content folder inside -> navigate to the folder -- The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY \mods\modGwentImprovementsUltima\ -- -> paste it here. At this point, your system sould ask you to replace 3 files. It's normal, you need to accept.
- Run Script Merger and merged the script gwintManager.ws if you have a conflict. Be sure to also either give priority to the mod if their is a bundled text conflict for the file gameplay\items\def_loot_shops.xml or to merged it if you know how to do it. Importants notes
- Do not install or uninstall any gwent mod on a ongoing plathrough : it will break your gwents decks !
- This patch doesn't work by itself, the original mod is needed. Just giving priority to this patch doesn't work either, the patch need to overwritte some of the original files.
- Why does i say to pick the version without Faster Gwent ? Because Faster Gwent contain an redswf file, that has been touched by the Next Gen update. This specific file isn't Next Gen compatible. I may look into porting it too someday, but no guarantee on that. In the mean time, you could still use Smooth Gui by Ferroxius. It will not cover the custom sound used for Regis transformation, but you'll have the faster gwent experience.
