Review Sonic Classic Collection (DS)
Hog roast
In a perfect world, there’s surely only one score we could give the first fully portable collection of the hedgehog’s finest outings: a well-deserved 10/10. SEGA’s handheld equivalent of Super Mario All-Stars, Sonic Classic Collection features the first four Sonic titles along with Knuckles’s appearance in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3,...

The Blue Blur is still running strong
SEGA has released a celebratory tweet to honour the 22nd anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog’s release on the Mega Drive (the Genesis in North America), and what a long, strange journey the Blue Blur has had since. Sonic’s career has had its ups, its downs and its loop de loops, but perhaps the strangest...

Awesome, this is the best Sonic news I heard all year!
Definite pass. The next one should be one with the Advance series.
So getting this. Love Sonic, also like the originals. Hope it has Blue Sphere in it. Wait, 2 players?
According to Nintendo Power, it's Sonic 1, 2, 3 and S&K (w/ lockon for 2 and 3). Awesome that we have a port for the DS now (without having to resort to emulation).
So happy they decided to make a portable version of Sonic 2. Hopefully it has the same music and won't be screwed up like Sonic Genesis on GBA.
Sonic Classic Collection for DS is not going to have the multiplayer modes that were in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3, so you'll still have a reason to download the Virtual Console versions or buy the GC Mega Collection.
@Clinker: That's a definite "ouch!" W/ the capabilities of the DS, such a thing would be plausible, so it would be somewhat of a shame if the multi wasn't included.
On the other hand, I very rarely ever have used my DS in multiplayer of any (DS) game. I'm never @ a hot spot, when on the road, & @ home, it's a pain to connect the system to my/the (home) net(work). Not to mention, you have to be playing the DS close to an access point, for play @ home, & my consoles are right near-by, so for me, it's not, but almost completely pointless.
But's it's always still worth it, if the game(s) is/are fun.
It has Lock-On for Sonic And Knuckles?
This game is mine.
Its out in Australia now. Is it out everywhere else?
Yes, it's out in the UK and US now - review coming soon!
No thank you. I already own the VC releases.
Just got it, and it's really cool. I had a Game Gear with Sonic, Sonic 2, and Chaos, so this is definitely a plus for me.
im playing it now!
THIS IS CLASSICS!!!!!!!!!
I love this! I just ordered because I lost it and oh my gersh. ITS PERFECT!
