Review Tennis (3DS eShop / GB)
8-bit balls
Remember Tennis on the NES? Well, it's back, and this time it's in portable format! The Game Boy version of Tennis is pretty much a remake of the NES game: it's got the same extremely basic setup, but it has been polished it up slightly. Just like with its predecessor, there's not really much on offer here aside from essentially playing...

Feature How Switch Brings Back Game Boy Multiplayer Memories
A link (cable) to the past
Quite apart from the huge number of great games coming to the system every week, one result of Switch’s success that we’ve really enjoyed is how it has brought back a focus on local multiplayer gaming not seen since the N64 days. Online is still king, of course, but we’d argue there’s nothing quite like the rush of...
News North America, Game Boy Tennis Is Your New Club Nintendo Reward
New balls, please
Nintendo has given the North American Club Nintendo rewards page a bit of a clean, with Game Boy sports title Tennis being the latest addition to the programme. One of the earliest monochrome Game Boy titles, Tennis isn't quite as amazing as Super Tennis on the SNES, but it's still worth a look if you've got some coins burning a...

Anyone for Tennis?
Over in little old London, the Wimbledon Championships are ongoing, so Nintendo is looking to capitalise on it with its 3DS Virtual Console release this week. Let's see what else is available. 3DS Virtual Console: Tennis (Game Boy, $2.99) — A simplistic but moderately enjoyable portable rendition of the sport, this should tide...

This is a pretty fun little game. :3
This game brings back memories. And yeah, so much fun. At least that's how I remember it.
I always liked how Mario was surveying the matches from the umpire's seat; this game is really fun
I need a good tennis game for my 3DS. Please let this come to NA soon!
As soon as I saw this was getting released in Europe for the 3DS Virtual Console, I had to download it. Brings back fond memories playing this in the early nineties on the original Gameboy. Its just a fun game to pick up and play after all these years and having Mario cameo as umpire is brilliant.
It's a shame Nintendo's charging fairly heavy money for these games. AUS$4.50 is too much for something like this. If it was say, $2, I would buy it straight away.
Am I the yougest person on this website? Everyone else talks about playing games "back in the nineties". I was born then!
