Dana Perino prepared some food for the Super Bowl.
“I made queso,” the Fox News host tweeted at 6:34 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday.
But was it?
More than 2,500 likes later, we have a meme to delight the legions of football fans complaining of extended boredom after watching more than three sluggish hours of Super Bowl 53.
You see, it turns out Perino’s queso was not a perfect specimen of queso. Not nearly. We may never know what it was, but we are eternally thankful for what ensued.
The game was dragging on. Social media was restless. It was craving something fresh, something vital.
Perino’s queso may not have been any of those things, but it fit the bill for some good-natured riffing.
Bear witness to the genius of the internet.

Eventually, even Perino, anchor of “The Daily Briefing with Dana Perino” and co-host of “The Five,” weighed in.
