Warren County pilot back at Morristown Airport after breaking world flight record

Warren County resident Jared Isaacman, 26, broke the world record for circumnavigating the globe in a light jet today, landing in Morristown Airport at 7:45 a.m. this morning, 61 hours, 51 minutes and 15 seconds after he and his co-pilot left.

The previous world record was set at about 82 hours.

Jared Isaacman, who is raising money for Make-A-Wish foundations, shows his planes to children at Morristown Airport on Friday before setting off on his third attempt to break a world record for circumnavigating the globe.

Isaacman, a self-made multimillionaire, had used the world-record attempt to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey, matching all donations made to the organization, up to $20,000. He also pledged to donate $5,000 for every hour he beat the world record.
