Sorry Tarlos stans! 9-1-1: Lone Star to end after season 5
It's almost time to say goodbye to Tarlos.
It's time to say goodbye to one of our favorite TV couples.
9-1-1: Lone Star will officially end with season five on Fox, meaning that the love story between TK Strand (Ronen Rubinstein) and Carlos Reyes (Rafael L. Silva), also known as "Tarlos," will also be coming to an end.
Season five begins on September 23 on Fox, and will run for twelve episodes. The series finale will air early next year.
The show ending isn't completely surprising, as the show took the 2023-2024 season off due to the strikes, and several cast members weren't returning for the fifth season.
"From the start, fans have followed the heroic and deeply moving stories of the men and women who make up Austin’s 126, so a huge thanks to one of the greatest creative teams in all of television — Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear — for creating one of the most action-packed dramas anywhere," Fox Television Network president Michael Thorn said in a statement. "Now in our final season of the show, we’re set to give it the high-stakes send-off it deserves, complete with breathless rescues, insurmountable odds and relatable personal struggles, thanks to our incomparable, stellar cast led by Rob Lowe and Gina Torres."
TK and Carlos had intense sparks ever since they first met in the series' pilot episode, and continued to love each other through hospital stays, breakups, hostage situations, attempted murders, and more.
In the third season of the show, the couple got engaged, and then in the fourth season finale, they got married.
Throughout the entire series, these two superhot first responders have helped make the show the success that it is, and have given us one of the most fulfilling gay romances in a network show.
Both Rubinstein and Silva are out queer actors, and the show also starred trans actor Brian Michael Smith, making the show an even bigger hit with queer fans.
We will miss you, Tarlos!
