Deal: Sony Xperia XZ Premium price drops under $600 for the first time since launch

The Xperia XZ Premium was outrageously overpriced in the United States where customers had to come up with $800 upfront to buy Sony's flagship. However, a few months ago, the Japanese handset maker had decided to slash the Xperia XZ Premium's price by $100.

At $700, the Xperia XZ Premium is a bit more competitive in the U.S., but it's likely to have troubles selling well in other regions where there are many more alternatives. The good news is consumers in the U.S. can now purchase the flagship for a lot less.

Amazon now offers the unlocked Sony Xperia XZ Premium for just $585, so you'll be saving $155 (16%) when you buy the smartphone. There's a catch though, as Amazon only slashed the price of the pink and chrome versions of the Xperia XZ Premium.

If you want to purchase the black model, then you'll still have to pay $700. Although it comes unlocked, it will only work on GSM/LTE network carrier such as AT&T, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, and Cricket Wireless.

On the bright side, you'll be getting dual-SIM support and U.S. warranty. Also, free shipping is included if you decide to go for Amazon's offer.
