Former HTC managers launch Kazam, will offer phones with 'stunning design, robust hardware' and localized updates

Two of the former HTC managers have formed a new company called Kazam, whose goal is mobile-related, and even plans on hardware, read smartphones in the future.

The ex-head of sales and former marketing director for UK region, Michael Coombes and James Atkins, have distributed the roles at Kazam, with Coombes as the CEO, and Atkins in the marketing seat, as the company will be focusing more on the European market.

Phones coming from the company are supposedly going to offer “stunning design, robust hardware, and intuitive technology, underpinned with improved customer service.” Nothing is ever mentioned about Android, or any other mobile OS, though. As per James Atkins, however, after-sales service is planned on being top-notch: "There is a real opportunity for a new mobile brand to disrupt the status quo. We are passionate about delivering a truly positive mobile experience that doesn't just stop once you've bought the phone."

Ballsy move, especially with that lofty goal of providing stellar after-sales support, which not even companies from the rank of Samsung can achieve perfectly with Android, but we'll keep an eye on the Kazam developments, because more is merrier, and if they had any visions they couldn't realize while in the HTC corporate structure, now is the time to shine.
