Oppo Find 7 confirmed; manufacturer thinking about "Google Edition" Find 5
The other day, we told you about a rumored Oppo Find 7 which would feature a 5 inch 1080 x 1920 screen and be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. While 2GB of RAM would be inside, a whopping 4000mAh battery would keep the lights on all day. With a 13MP shooter on back, the front-facing camera would weigh in at a rather hefty 8MP.
But while Oppo did confirm on Thursday that the Find 7 is under development, the above specs are merely speculation. In fact, in a statement, the manufacturer says that no specs or designs have been finalized. Oppo did make a point of saying that the Oppo Find 7 will not be available by September as rumored.
And remember the rumored Oppo Find 5 mini that we told you about earlier this month? You can scratch it off the list. Oppo says that there will be no Find 5 mini, leaving that niche of the market to Samsung and HTC. The statement from the manufacturer said, "One article mentioned the possible release of a Find 5 Mini. Unfortunately, there are no plans to release any Find 5 Minis."

One thing that Oppo is gauging is the demand of a possible "Google Edition" Oppo Find 5. On its Google+ page, the manufacturer is asking if it should release a stock Android version of it's high-end smartphone. Similar "Google Edition" models are available for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One while one could be coming for the Sony Xperia Z. Besides offering a stock Android experience, these handsets receive Android OS updates directly from Google. That means that these models should receive the latest Android builds faster than other phones.
"OPPO is excited to be currently developing the next phone in the Find series, the Find 7. However, development is still in the early stages and has no finalized designs or specifications. There is also no release date at this time and will unfortunately not be available this September."-Oppo
