Portrait Studio

Portrait Studio is an AI-powered feature on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 that allows you to transform your photos into various artistic styles. Here's a breakdown of how it works:

Access Portrait Studio: Look for the "Generative Edit" icon, then select "Portrait Studio."
Select a style: You'll have four options: Comic, 3D Cartoon, Watercolor, and Sketch. Choose the desired style.
Generate: The AI will process the photo and generate different versions of the chosen style.
Select and save: Choose the version you like best and save it to your gallery.

Essentially, Portrait Studio uses advanced algorithms to analyze the facial features and characteristics of the original photo and then applies the selected artistic style while maintaining a likeness to the original subject.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6's AI Interpreter is a powerful tool designed to bridge language barriers. Leveraging the device's advanced AI capabilities, it can translate conversations in real-time while also using both the foldable and cover displays to make information easily readable for both parties.

Here's a breakdown of how it access the feature if you own a Z Fold 6:

Activate Interpreter Mode: This is typically found in the quick settings panel or within a dedicated language app.
Select Languages: Choose the two languages you want to translate between.
Conversation Mode: This is a unique feature of the Z Fold 6. By folding the phone into a tent-like shape, you can create a shared screen experience. One side displays the original language, while the other shows the translated text. Both parties can see and follow the conversation simultaneously.
Real-Time Translation: As you speak, the AI listens, transcribes, and translates your words in real-time. The translated text appears on the other side of the screen.
Voice Output: If preferred, the translated text can also be read aloud for added convenience.

Transcript Assist

This feature allows users to record audio and receive real-time transcriptions. Additionally, Galaxy AI enhances the functionality by offering two supplementary features: generating summaries from voice recording transcripts in bullet point format and improving speaker label accuracy within the Notes app.

Galaxy AI can offer pre-existing templates based on your recurring needs such as grocery lists. The AI monitors usage patterns and suggests relevant templates, enhancing efficiency in organizing notes. Additionally, these templates come with personalized covers featuring summaries and icons.

Galaxy AI also reorders and refines notes to make them more organized. For example, if you have forgotten to add bullet points and simply jotted down a bunch of text, the Samsung Notes app will tidy that up for you.

Circle to Search

This is a feature that allows you to search online for any object that appears on the screen, no matter whether it is in a video or a photo. Also, while Samsung dubbed it "Circle to Search," you can also scribble or tap on the items you want to search.

Hands-free communication assistant on the road

This feature allows users to receive text summaries audibly without needing to glance at their phone or car screen. Additionally, the assistant provides suggested actions, enabling users to choose from a list and have the AI handle texting while they concentrate on driving.

AI Photo Editing:

Edit Suggestion: AI offers automatic editing suggestions for photos.

AI-powered editing: Users have the option to manually adjust photos to remove blurring, reflections, or enhance crispness, in addition to automated suggestions.

Generative editing: Generative editing enables non-destructive cropping, object removal, and rearrangement of elements within photos.

AI Zoom

AI Zoom on Galaxy phones tries to improve the image quality of photos and video that have been taken by digitally zooming in, instead of using the optical zoom of a dedicated telephoto camera.

Instant Slow-Mo

Galaxy AI can transform a regular video into a slow-motion one by creating additional frames. That being said, this feature can be rather jarring and a bit of a gimmick for most of the time.

Summary

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is equipped with all Galaxy AI features that Samsung introduced in the beginning of this year, but it also brings along creative ways of implementing them, like with the improved AI Interpreter.
