Decent

Phone owned for less than 3 months

I bought the iPhone 14 against all odds, mainly for its new safety features that in my mind, could save my life, so I may as well have them for an extra hundred dollars. Over the past couple of months, I’ve come to the conclusion that this isn’t a bad phone, it’s just very poor value. There isn’t much to complain about with it, in fact, I think it’s a very good phone. It functions very well every day, has exceptional battery life, and is built like a tank. It’s also light, which in my mind is a plus. There are some less cool things, like the cameras, display and chip. Not bad, but disappointing. Not very different from last year’s iPhone 13. For most people, I’d recommend the 13 or even 13 mini, since they both accomplish the same task for less money. My final opinion on the iPhone 14 is that it’s a good phone, but it’s not a better phone when it comes to value. It’s a disappointing device because of what it could have been. You’d probably be better off with an Android of equal value to this phone, like a Galaxy S22 or a Pixel 7. If it absolutely needs to be an iPhone, then the 13/13 mini would suit your needs. If you are okay with used phones, iPhone 13 Pros go for about the same amount as new 14s, so you could get all of the pro features, including the exact same chip, for the same money. That would be much nicer than what is essentially an iPhone 13 with some safety features.
