Apple iPhone 6s Plus Specs

Description

Not much has changed on the surface since the Apple iPhone 6s Plus introduced an updated look with a laminated screen and comfortably round corners. This time around, though, Apple is beating its chest for incorporating Series 7000 aluminum instead of the anodized aluminum it's been traditionally using. The screen on the iPhone 6s Plus is virtually unchanged from what its originator brought forth, but the smartphone has gained 3D Touch control that lets users deliberately choose between a light tap, a press, and a "deeper" press, triggering a range of specific controls. Other notable additions include the Apple A9 chipset, 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and a 12MP rear camera with 4K resolution video recording.

This device is also known as Apple A1634, Apple A1687

Very good and its 9 years ago
Phone owned for more than a year

its so good. its like having an iphone 16 pro max but with an older model. every update is the same as the newer phones. last phone with a headphone jack before stupid apple removed it.

Amazing
Phone owned for more than a year

AMAZING Very long battery life, I charged phone after 2 days of moderate use and it's mind boggling, bummed it doesn't have wireless charging but it 'somehow' supports fast charging, just use an iPad charger and it'll top up after 120 minutes (150 mins. if using the out-of-the-box chargrer)

a great phone, just not for me
Phone owned for less than a month

as a life long android user i wanted something different and bought this baby. id say for someone who has never used android, this phone is everything. but i felt shackled.

build quality: there is nothing innovative about how an iphone looks. i mean its the same thing 3 years running so nothing to write home about. i hated the fact that you have to get a specific screen protector otherwise the touch feedback gets ruined. the "silent" switch is ok but unnecessary. also there is no indication on screen that silent mode is on, which is weird

reception: got great signals so far. i dunno why we even have this outdated option, it depends on your carrier not the phone

call quality: one of the best things i like about iphones is their noise cancellation

internet: safari is ok but i want to use firefox, and that app is crappy on ios

multimedia: ok a big subject. music wise its all right. but apps act stupidly. i use "do not disturb" cos "silent" mode turns off every kind of sound and i want calls from starred contacts to go through but on do not disturb the in app sounds are kept on. and there is no option to turn them off from the app or anywhere. frustrating

camera: im not an avid picture taker but the pics ive taken so far are flawless

UI: takes getting used to but once youre used to it you will not find that comfort somewhere else. the fingerprint scanner is i must say the best ive used. the UI is beautiful and feature rich plus uses the hardware efficiently. switching to apps you opened hours ago is surprisingly fluid given the ram. multitasking is better on android cos of the dedicated key. really missed the "back" key. the gestures are impractical in many apps and it gets frustrating. the animations are slower than what im used to and theres no way to change that

everyday usage: not for an androider like me. installing apps is much easier on android. you cant customize the control center which is something that carries your frequently used actions. frustrating (again)

text input: stock keyboard is ok but no number row, no option to enable it, installed the good ol gboard but its just like the stock, why?

display: brightness and contrast are flawless. auto-brightness works like a charm. only concern is the colors are a bit cool for my taste. otherwise flawless

battery: pretty good. got a good 24 hours from mid to high usage (browsing, gaming, whatsapp, facebook). on wifi it works well but on cellular data it drains faster. but the reason i didnt give it a 10 was because of the snail paced charging. its so frustrating (most frequently used word in this review)

conclusion: iphone bends the user to its will while android bends itself to the user. gonna switch back to droid soon
