Google Pixel 8 User Reviews

The pixel 8 is awesome. It's a great pocket computer and a fantastic camera. It holds its own or takes better photos than some of its competitors, despite their comparable or slightly better hardware.

However, there's one area where the pixel is terrible, and Google doesn't seem to value: being a phone. The pixel 6 used an exynos modem and had Terrible reception issues. Basically struggled to get reception anywhere, even if other phones had full bars. Google heard this feedback, and completely ignored it, using an exynos modem in the 7 that suffered from the same problems. After two years, you'd think they'd have fixed the issue, but you'd be wrong. The new pixel 8 is still using the same or a similar exynos modem. If your looking for an awesome camera, grab a pixel. If you're looking for a Ai device or something to surf the internet with wifi, grab a pixel. If you're looking for a decide to make calls, send texts, or surf the internet on a cell network, stay away and grab any other phone.
