HBO Max is reportedly seeking out a Harry Potter live-action TV series, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

There are no writers or talent attached, and the Hollywood Reporter says that executives at HBO Max and Warner Bros. are looking for pitches that would work for streaming. While the conversations are happening, THR said it’s all very broad ideas, with no official development attached.

“There are no Harry Potter series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform,” HBO Max and Warner Bros. told the Hollywood Reporter.

Though the Harry Potter movie series ended in 2010, the Wizarding World franchise is anything but dead. With a new Fantastic Beasts movie on the way (sans Johnny Depp this time), along with a long-gestating video game out this year, Warner Bros. continues to actively expand the Wizarding World. This all comes despite the fact that Harry Potter is a contentious property, with author J.K. Rowling receiving backlash for her continued transphobic views.
