I have extensive experience in working with children, young people and adults who have experienced adversity either within their home, community, educational setting or work place. I have worked with clients with complex trauma histories, dissociative disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and depression. I have devoted my career over the past 20 years to working with children, adolescents and adults with complex needs or experiencing mental health challenges within the foster care system, rehabilitation services, education department and general public.
I have specific training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and extensive experience in working with all age groups who have experienced trauma, mental health challenges and family breakdown. I enjoy integrating body-oriented and attachment based therapy techniques, applying a neurobiological approach throughout the psychotherapy process.
I enjoy interweaving cognitive, somatic and interpersonal modalities to assist the individual to explore possibilities and organically heal from within. I work flexibly with respect and compassion, ensuring the client’s needs are always at the forefront. I believe that a collaborative relationship within a nurturing environment creates healing.
