Areas of the human experience Kate can support include depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, parenting and family challenges, career change and transitions as well as grief and loss. Kate has a special interest in supporting the pregnancy and post natal period, bringing together current mental health research and her own experiences and journey with post natal depression and anxiety, breastfeeding and transitioning to motherhood. Kate has experience working with teenagers and young adults both individually and groups. Kate has trained in Gottman Method and can support you to have healthier relationships.
Taking an integrative approach to counselling, Kate’s practice includes models from Internal Family Systems Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gottman Family and Relationship theory, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
