I work to build understanding, trust and apply agreed upon strategies to assist clients to deal with current challenges and find a way back to improved functioning. We identify the aspects of situations in which we are able to work towards positive change, and implement strategies to do so. We work on treating current symptoms that are causing distress and also past experiences that may require unpacking, re-framing and resolving.
I have many years experience of working with clients from varying cultural, religious, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have experience assisting clients with a wide range of challenges including but not limited to anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, BPD, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD and adjustment disorder. I use a variety of techniques
I draw from a range of therapies, depending on the client's needs, ranging from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR, DBT, Hypnotherapy, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness. I aim to provide a relaxed and caring atmosphere and environment, whilst following a treatment plan and guidelines for progress and desired outcomes.
