I work primarily with adults and adolescents and am interested in all forms of anxiety, including fears relating to performance or social occasions, phobias, and panic attacks; in problems related to mood, self-esteem, perfectionism, and relationship difficulties; in behavioural issues including procrastination and compulsions; and in difficulties related to body image and disordered eating. I also enjoy working with parents to support them in addressing their concerns regarding their children or adolescents. Finally, I am also an approved workcover provider.
In my work with clients, I am particularly concerned to ensure that they feel heard and that they gain a good understanding of the factors that have fuelled their current difficulties. My goal is to form a partnership which empowers and supports my clients to implement the changes necessary to move forward in their lives.
Prior to joining The Mind Clinic, I spent three years working with Child and Youth Mental Health Services at Royal North Shore Hospital. In addition, I have previous experience in private practice and have also worked in a specialised anxiety treatment unit.
