We all have ideas about who and how we “should be.” These powerful “shoulds” are shaped by many things including our relationships, cultural beliefs, and society. When we compare ourselves to these “shoulds” and don’t measure up, we may suffer from shame, low self-worth, isolation, and avoidance. Instead of measuring your self-worth according to “shoulds,” I believe therapy can help you recognize your inherent worth so you become free to define and pursue who you want to be, the kind of relationships you want to have, and the kind of life you want to live.
My favourite thing about therapy is its capacity to transform our relationship to our suffering, ourselves, others, and life itself. With warmth and curiosity, I will facilitate this transformation by helping you gain insight into yourself, what you're struggling with, and directions to go in that will be authentic to you.
In graduate school I focused on 2SLGBTQ+ topics, and my other primary areas of knowledge and interest include anxiety, ADHD, and relationship issues. No matter what you’re struggling with, I would love to connect with you to explore if I am the right fit for you.
