I'm Anna, a psychotherapist at MacFarlane Psychology Group. I am a registered psychotherapist with experience providing therapy and assessments to children, young adults, and adults in a variety of settings. I am originally Italian, grew up in New Zealand and the United States, and studied and trained in the UK and Canada. I have experience working with children, young adults, and adults in a variety of settings, public and private, and am currently working in private practice, in person and online, with mostly adults.
I work from a variety of approaches but currently specialize in ISTDP, Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy. This therapy is highly effective at uncovering and releasing, through an active and experientially-based dialogue, the repressed emotions, thoughts, desires, and impulses that show up as mental, emotional and physical blocks in the body.
When we're inevitably faced with unexpected and overwhelming challenges in our lives, it can be difficult to find the kind of help we might need.
