I am experienced and compassionate psychodynamic therapist who has worked extensively in both the private sector and NHS since 2001. I have spent many hours working with people that are struggling with distress and helplessness, anxiety and loss, depression and isolation. Many people feel troubled by aspects of the past that they have been unable to resolve or move past. I offer a confidential, safe and private therapy space where you will be listened to and where we can think together about your difficulties and how they affect you.
Sharing your difficulties with someone who is really listening and paying attention to you is the beginning of the therapy journey. I draw on my years of experience to create a therapy space where you can talk or use art materials to express your feelings, and where we can begin to make sense of them.
I am a thoughtful therapist who is non-judgemental and I am passionate about potential benefits of psychotherapy. After an initial 15 minute screening call, I offer an assessment appointment for up to 1.5hrs to understand what you are looking for and why. If at the end of this we agree that we are happy to work together and I feel that I can help you, we will arrange a series of weekly psychotherapy sessions with a review session after 6-8 of these to make sure that we are working towards your therapy goals.
