Life can throw many challenges at us, sometimes navigated well but at times can become overwhelming, and some help is welcome. As an experienced CBT and EMDR therapist I have worked with adults and young people to help them find their way through emotional and mental distress. With an understanding of how issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and trauma impacts everyday life, I offer a confidential space to work with you to find relief from these emotional challenges. We often have a sense of how we want to be but can't get there alone, our thoughts often getting in the way.
Therapeutic techniques are chosen based on your current needs which include my specialism Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR, as well as Guided Imagery, Breathing/Relaxation techniques, Mindfulness. CBT give you tools to use in the future and EMDR is an effective treatment for many types of trauma causing PTSD, anxiety and depression to name a few.
