Working with clients who feel confused, conflicted or unhappy about who they are, is an area of therapy I am drawn to. Whether as a result of birth; life choice; changes in circumstances or life stage; labelling or perceptions by others; or unresolved events from their past, this can feel an isolating, anxiety- inducing, unsettling and distressing time, it can also feel difficult to stop feeling negatively about yourself, feeling you're to blame. I get it, I really do. I can provide a non-judgemental space for you to explore your inner thoughts, worries, or beliefs that are making life difficult to cope with. A place you can be you.
In our initial session I'll carry out an assessment of your therapy needs and hopes. Whether your experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, abuse, relationship conflicts, difficulties as a result of your neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism), sexuality, gender, ethnicity, size or religious belief, you'll be offered acceptance and support, never judgment.
I will not tell you what to do, try to fix you or dismiss what you bring. I will come to our sessions with a gentle curiosity and warmth supporting you to consider and explore what is preventing you being who or where you want to be.
