I'm a Counselling psychologist, who holds a culturally informed awareness of persons. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and guides clients to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms, and increase personal strengths to have a more meaningful life experience. With experience in anxiety, depression, behavioural issues, suicide prevention, crisis management, couple therapy, child-centered play therapy, transitioning, self-identity, grief and loss, relationships and emotional regulation. I am empathic in nature and believe in the good in humanity.
In my practice my utilize Cognitive Behaviour therapy, Solution Focused Brief therapy, Trauma informed Care, and The Bader-Pearson Model for couples therapy. Nothing more important to me than investing time and positive energy into the younger generation, supporting them with a Child-centered Play therapy approach.
During your session, we, together will aim to achieve goals set out. Being empathetic and congruent as a therapist and person, means you can be free and safe to be your authentic and true self. While working with young persons, the aim is to accomplish goals that they have, as well as working with family to help young person succeed.
