Kia Orana and Hello! My name is Elizabeth Putaura. I was born in Rarotonga and raised in New Zealand. I live in Nelson where I also received my BA in counselling. I am a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and am an ACC registered counsellor/provider for integrated service for sensitive claims. I have worked as a counsellor for 3 years at a Womens Centre, a couple years as a counsellor at the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology, and a mentor for a budget service before I opened my private practice online in 2023.
My work is client centered, trauma informed, and is influenced by Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Narrative Therapy. Working with these strength-based models, collaboratively we can unpack your story, explore your experiences/themes, challenge your predictions, and encourage a course of action to positively impact your future through healing conversation.
