Tēnā koe, I'm Nigel. I'm an ACT, CBT and EMDR therapist based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington and online. I identify as queer and use he/him/his pronouns. Whether you’re looking to learn new skills and strategies, heal from trauma, or seeking a listening ear, I have the experience and expertise to help. Establishing an open and affirming space is really important to me and I value developing therapeutic relationships. I work with people aged 16 years and over. I enjoy hiking, sharing good food with friends and adding to my ever-growing collection of ceramics.
My therapy approach is evidence-based, collaborative and loosely structured. I offer EMDR and cognitive & behaviour-based therapies, including CBT, DBT skills, and ACT.
Engaging in therapy can be an empowering and life-changing process. Everyone is different, so every therapy partnership is different. If you'd like to learn more about me, my values and how I work please get in touch.
