I work with children, young people, adults, and groups to support them to stand up to problems and develop preferred ways of being. I work with clients to identify, reflect upon, and achieve the hopes and goals that are important to them in their life and relationships. I provide professional supervision to practitioners in the fields of health and social practice (including counselling, occupational therapy, nursing, midwifery, social work, and human services etc). I believe that a collaborative, safe and respectful therapeutic relationship enhances emotion regulation and promotes self-awareness and resilience.
Along with Narrative Therapy, I utilise Sensorimotor psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, ACT techniques; and teach skills such as Mindfulness and relaxation. I work with trauma and traumatic memories. I also support clients with attachment and self-concept issues through developing mindful self-compassion and self-soothing skills.
I am a compassionate, empathic, gentle, encouraging and supportive counsellor and supervisor. I believe that a collaborative, safe and respectful therapeutic relationship enhances emotion regulation and promotes self-awareness and resilience. I work collaboratively through valuing the client’s agency, knowledge and resources. Please do reach out to me.
