I have extensive experience of working with children, teens and adults focusing on a range of presenting issues including anxiety, OCD, low mood and depression, anger and emotional dysregulation, as well as addiction. With younger clients I focus not only on the individual but also the wider family system to address current concerns including attachment issues. I am able to work with a wide age range and can target my work to keep sessions enjoyable and age appropriate from the ages of 5 through to adulthood.
I have many years of experience working with children, young people and their families both here in NZ and in the UK - I currently work in a therapeutic role in a busy CAMHS service. I am trained in cognitive behavioural therapy or CBT (PGCert with Otago University) and am also trained in PCIT (parent child interactive therapy).
I am a full time dad and am friendly and approachable. I enjoy the diversity of working in Auckland and have extensive experience of engaging with rainbow families as well as those new to New Zealand.
