I am a psychiatrist who specializes in depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. I appreciate the idea of patients having not only access to medication management and psychotherapy but also the latest interventional psychiatric treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Esketamine nasal spray for treatment-resistant depression. I see TMS and Esketamine as great options for patients to consider when medication management and therapy alone do not provide adequate relief for depression. I am excited to see how these treatments evolve and develop over time as accessibility to these modalities improves.
I have always been interested in the human brain and what makes people feel, think, and behave the way they do. During my undergraduate years, I majored in neurobiology with a focus on mind, brain, and behavior. I applied to medical school with strong intentions toward a path to psychiatry.
I feel privileged to have a career where I can make a difference in people’s lives. I hope my patients approach their treatment journey with an open mind and appreciate that medications are often just one part of a multifaceted treatment plan.
