Working with women is my main focus - women struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and grief are a few of the issues I have a love for addressing. I currently offer CBT and ACT therapy services with a background as a previous prescriber. I am a licensed medical doctor specializing in psychiatric medication management services for adults and children. I primarily treat depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism, gender dysphoria, and women’s issues such as postpartum depression and PMDD. I have a special interest in treating the psychiatric manifestations of chronic illnesses such as Ehler's Danlos syndrome, fibromyalgia, endometriosis, mast cell activation, and dysautonomia.

I have worked in mental health care since 2014 and take great pride in the work I do. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication accordingly. I am here to listen and help you resolve the issues that are bothering you. I enjoy getting to know my patients and helping them understand their diagnosis and how medication will help them.

I believe in holistic health: which means caring for the whole person and addressing the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals and families across the lifespan. Mental and emotional health are often the foundation of a healthy and fulfilling life. My specialty is medication management for a variety of mental health needs, across the lifespan. Initial appointments are usually (60) minutes in length and follow up appointments are usually (20) minutes in length. I want each person I partner with to feel comfortable and well informed of their options so that they are able to make an informed decision.

I feel like I have strengths in medication education, high anxiety situations, and particularly the aging older adult population. Before I started as a PMHNP, I worked 10 years in acute care nursing. During this time Covid-19 hit and medical teams were experiencing high rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide.

My ideal patient is seeking an experienced medication management provider who embraces a holistic approach to mental and physical health. You may need a new or different psychiatric medication, or you may need health coaching, or you may need someone to help you advocate differently with your primary care physician. Or you may need all of these things! I am motivated to travel WITH my patients, to make sure they feel heard and understood, and to collaborate on a treatment plan. We will leave no stone unturned.
