My Name is Bernadine Anderson-Clarke. I was born on the Island of Jamaica. I migrated to the USA in the late 80's. I immediately Attended Palm Beach College and attained an associate degree in the area of dental hygiene. I worked in that field for 4 years. realized that I wanted to further my education and attended South University in 1999-2003, where I earned a bachelor's degree in nursing. I worked in many areas of nursing including Intensive care, emergency medicine, and recovery. medical surgical, birth and delivery, and postpartum. I re-evaluated myself and decided that I could do better for my patients and myself.
I attended Barry University in 2003-2006, where I earned a master's degree as a Family nurse practitioner. I worked as a family nurse practitioner for over 12 years, I decided to venture into Maryville University to be educated in Mental health/psychiatric medicine. this has become my passion. I am a dually board-certified practitioner.
I am in school at Gannon University pursuing a doctorate. I am currently licensed in the states of Florida, New York, Colorado, and Arizona. My therapeutic approach is CBT. Listening attentively and respectfully, the goal is to help the patient change negative thoughts into positive thoughts.
