I am board-certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist in private practice in Portland, Oregon. I take an integrative approach to psychiatric evaluation and treatment that incorporates biologic, psychological, social and culture components. I focus on working with adults with a wide range of issues, including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, life transitions, relational challenges, trauma, peripartum and women's mental health issues across the lifespan.
I work within a consultation model initially to get to know you over the initial 2-3 visits. I typically see individuals over the age of 18 for weekly psychotherapy. When it is appropriate, medications can be utilized as well but this is not a requirement for our work together. I rarely prescribe medications alone absent psychotherapy.
As a candidate at Oregon Psychoanalytic Institute, I am training to become a psychoanalyst and thus am able to offer multi-day per week treatment and psychoanalysis in select cases. In addition, I provide consultation to primary care or mental health practitioners (e.g., diagnostic clarity or treatment recommendations).
