I am currently accepting adult female patients. I have been working with women, particularly in the midst of big life changes that may introduce challenging feelings and emotions that often do not make sense. I focus on helping navigate the understanding, learning and healing from these challenges in order to feel well and live a whole, fulfilled life. As a psychiatrist, I have an approach that is atypical, focusing more on skills and healing the self rather than heavy reliance on medications. I do believe that psychiatric medications can play a role in the healing journey in some cases, however, this is not often my focus.

Pathways Behavioral Center is an out-patient opioid and recovery clinic. Our clinical model used to treat patients with a substance abuse issue is individual therapy and medication management. We also specialize in chronic depression and cognitive/behavioral disorders. We have two psychiatrists on staff to give professional and individualized services to treat your needs.

Mental health is complicated. I do not subscribe to the notion that mental illness is purely a biochemical process. A person’s whole background and current circumstances affect their mental health and how they will react to certain treatments. Additionally, each patient has their own set of goals. Wellness looks different to us all. I practice psychodynamic psychopharmacology. This is an approach to medication management that combines evidence-based use of medication with careful consideration of a person’s developmental history and patterns in their behaviors, feelings, and relationships.
