As a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner working in the practice of Lee Spencer, MD, I provide comprehensive and personalized care for individuals 17 and older who are struggling with a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, mood disorders (including depression & bipolar disorder), post-traumatic stress, ADHD, problematic substance use, addictive disorders, and many other psychiatric illnesses.
I take an integrative approach to treatment that blends the holistic traditions of nursing with supportive psychotherapy, and evidence-based medical care. I have the ability and expertise to prescribe medications when indicated. While these can be quite helpful, I believe they are most effective when used as 1 part of a more comprehensive approach to care.
