Most clients who contact me are looking for help with self-esteem, body image, food, relationships, or parenting. I specialize in eating disorders, and have helped many women and teens recover and find peace from the constant voice in their head that tells them they aren’t enough. I have treated anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and ARFID. I am trained in FBT and have used it to help parents successfully refeed their children and teens at home. In my former career, I was a special education teacher. I enjoy helping parents who have children with mental health concerns navigate the school system as needed.
Connection and trust between client and therapist are crucial for counseling to be successful. My goal is to provide a laid-back, non-judgmental space infused with empathy, respect, and humor. I use an integrative approach that pulls from trauma-informed and cognitive behavioral theories. I am also a board approved supervisor for residents in counseling.
I welcome clients who are new to therapy as well as those who have been in therapy before. Please reach out if you think I might be a good fit for you or your child. We’ll work together to build your strengths, define your goals, and implement a plan. It’s never too late to figure out how to be happy and fulfilled.
