Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m an Associate Therapist offering in-person and online therapy. My favorite parts of my job are connecting with people and helping my clients understand themselves. I believe some of the most important skills as a therapist are to actively listen, express genuine empathy, and challenge clients while meeting them where they are at. It can be daunting to start or resume therapy with a new therapist. So I strive to create a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. This may look like being patient with them or chatting about their hobbies.
I do individual therapy with older teen, young adult, and adult clients. I help treat depression, anxiety, relationship issues, pornography addiction, faith crisis, and trauma. Modalities I use often are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), internal family systems (IFS), and accelerated resolution therapy (ART).
