I am a therapist with A Better You Counseling and Wellness, LLC located in Hanover, PA. All aspects of our being, Spirit, Soul and Body) can be impacted by trauma, whether in childhood and/or adulthood. As a trauma informed therapist, as well as going through my own trauma and recovery, I have extensive knowledge, training, and understanding on how trauma impacts a person. I believe that it is my purpose to support and walk with the person on their journey.
Having over 20 yrs of experience working with people in multiple settings, one of my favorite therapy modalities is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is defined as a short-term form of psychotherapy based on the idea that the way a person thinks and feels affects the way a person behaves. Our heart and mind are powerful.
Life throws many things at us. Sometimes we fall down on the path and scrape a knee, but it’s ok to have someone help you dust off. I offer a judge free space and safe atmosphere. I will laugh with you, crack jokes, and cry with you. I believe challenge fuels change and we need to keep an open mind to how to navigate this life.
