Do you feel worried or discouraged, overwhelmed or numb? Do you feel anxious to be yourself or to navigate events happening in the world? Are you struggling to keep motivated or to navigate relationships, transitions, or stressors in life? I want you to know that you are not alone in how you are feeling and that I genuinely believe you can find healing and connection through engaging in therapy. I specialize in supporting adults, women, college, and graduate students navigating transitions in life, self worth, anxiety, and/or depression. My work is rooted in nature-based, experiential, and somatic approaches.
I believe in co-creating a space where there is humor, empathy, authenticity, and curiosity, where all emotions & experiences are welcome. My approach is to be aware of the "whole picture" that impacts each person (systems, history, world events, family systems, relational interactions) while also focusing on the "here and now" of what is coming up.
Together, we be with and process emotions, experiences, sensations, and thoughts, learn skills, practice grounding and/or mindfulness, and/or engage in experiential activities. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or disconnected, this group could be a great opportunity for support! The purpose of this group is to create space to seek connection with the Earth, animals, and others in hopes to decrease isolation and stress. Animal interactions could include cows, horses, pigs, donkeys, and chickens. This is not group therapy but rather a therapeutic space to connect, learn, and grow. The group will be co-facilitated by Light Root Community Farm and myself and will be held in-person each week outdoors!
