Brandy's belief is that spirituality/religion are important elements of many people's lives. Her orientation as a counselor is from an Adlerian perspective where she seeks to understand what a client is striving towards; what motivates them; any misunderstandings and mistaken goals; and assist in moving towards success at life's tasks. Brandy typically focuses on the relationship and psychoeducation and uses encouragement. Her goal is to encourage growth and for clients to understand their power to change; for them to gain awareness through psychoeducation; and for them to be able to apply information and insight to their situation.
Brandy has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She is a Registered Play Therapist and trained in EMDR—eye movement desensitization and reprocessing for trauma. She has also completed Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy .
Brandy K.
