Hi! My name is Elisabeth Faust and I have 30 (thirty) years of experience working with those who have behavioral health issues, which includes most people in our fast-paced and stress-filled lives. I have experience in helping those with severe, behavioral health illnesses in a medical setting (clinic). My ideal client is one who is actively seeking help for his/her self and willing to make changes in one's life. I quote Albert Einstein in his definition of insanity, "It is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the results to be different". A person needs to be heard and validated in their distress.
I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Reality Therapy. I encourage my clients to journal their thoughts and experiences of the past, which affect their daily functioning in a negative manner. Talk therapy helps client be heard and validated. Coping skills and retraining the brain help clients manage anxiety.
