My approach is founded upon the relationship I have with each client. I create a safe, comfortable environment by providing empathy, genuineness, and a sense of humor, and work collaboratively with each client to meet their unique goals. I help clients to identify, express, and understand emotions so that they may better manage them. Therapy can also aid in understanding and changing patterns in relationships that may contribute to distress. I welcome conversations with clients about our relationship, as this can be very useful in shedding light on other relationships in their lives.
I help clients process the ways they are impacted by their social identities, past/current relationships, family dynamics, and work/school environments. With a greater understanding of themselves, my goal is to empower clients to make positive changes in their lives and relationships.
If you have any questions, or would like to schedule a consultation, please contact me. I look forward to getting to know you to see if we might be a good fit to work together. If I am unavailable to meet, I could potentially connect you with a colleague of mine that has shared specialty areas with more immediate availability.
