I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), who works with Adolescents, Adults and Families to improve their wellbeing. I am experienced with working with clients who are experiencing Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Grief, and Military Related Issues. My approach to therapy is strengths-based and uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy. I provide an empathic judgment free safe space for my client to explore their thoughts and feelings as well as providing them with the tools and encouragement they need to cope with life.
Watching my clients grow and experience positive change is important to me. I have a passion for working with Military Families and being able to put my 20+ years of experience as a spouse of an Active Duty Service Member to help others who have to manage deployments and frequent moves.
I graduated from Old Dominion University in 2019, with a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, during that time I gained experience working with diverse populations and concerns. I have sought and completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma informed Care, and DBT.
